Becoming a member of a Total Youth Ministry CORE Team brings with it many blessings, but also requires a significant amount of dedication. After being trained with Safe Environment in the Diocese of Dallas, A CORE Team member is required to commit to serving at least two semesters, or a total of one year.
Furthermore, each member will be expected to attend weekly youth nights, as well as help to prepare several youth nights a semester. As a member of the Junior T.Y.M. CORE Team, one is expected to attend at least one Confirmation Family Class during Confirmation preparation. Each Jr. T.Y.M. CORE Team member is also expected to attend CORE Team meetings as necessary.
Each Senior T.Y.M. CORE Team member is also expected to attend CORE Team meetings as necessary. All team members are encouraged to attend extra-curricular T.Y.M. events (i.e. retreats, lock-ins, high school events, etc.) so as to further T.Y.M.’s holistic approach to Catholic youth ministry.
